I first began my career as a filmmaker while in school at Belmont University in Nashville, TN. I noticed a void in the music industry - there were hundreds of brilliant, independent musicians with songs and stories to share, all of whom were struggling artists, and none of which had any substantial budget to produce video & social media content on a quality level.
Fast-forward through five years of countless recording studio-sessions, multi-camera setup live events, music videos, and working on narrative, commercial & corporate sets in nearly every position available (director to sound-op, gaffer to editor), I now work professionally full-time in New York City as a freelance location sound engineer/camera op/editor/PA - a “maker of films;” filmmaker. I believe in putting the story at the forefront of every position and role I play on set.
Catch me working alongside directors like Ron Peters (@ronauteur), publications like L’Officiel Paris and VMag, companies like Stephen David Entertainment and Buddy Valastro’s (the Cake Boss himself) Cakehouse Media, and brands like Master & Dynamic Headphones, Perry Ellis/Original Penguin, and Jay-Z’s music and podcast streaming service Tidal. You can also find me working with New York-based musicians (an area of the industry I’m still passionate about), and producing my own independent projects.
Not bad for a dude who majored in Musical Theatre.
